Pegasus Parade

Last Thursday we took the kids to Travis' office for the Pegasus Parade. His office is right on Broadway and the parade route passes right in front of his office. So all the co-workers have their families come to the office to watch the parade. Everyone brings a dish and has a huge pitch-in dinner before the parade begins. This has definitely been a perk of Travis' job. The kids love going and we don't have to purchase tickets, there is a clean bathroom close by and if the weather turns bad we can watch from inside the building. You can't get any better than that. This year the Pegasus balloon did make it past us but all the other balloons were taken off the route as soon as they passed the TV cameras. We could see the balloons turn off to the side street from where we were sitting so it wasn't all bad. Griffin loved playing with all the other kids there and Emmy really enjoyed the horses and floats.

Here is Travis posing with his girl Ashley Judd (she is a Donate Life Kentucky spokesman) I think that is part of the reason Travis works there...he is hoping he will get to meet her ;)
