St. Simons Island, GA

The first week of July we headed down to St. Simons Island with Travis's side of the family. We are so blessed to have this time together. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins for an entire week. We had great weather...it only rained the last day we were there and just in the morning and then a light sprinkle in the afternoon. We didn't do much but hang out by the pool. The first day down there we headed out to the grocery for food for the week. Each family is responsible for fixing dinner one night of the week. Sunday night Eric and Tracey did a Japanese style dinner on the hibachi grill...YUMMY!! Monday night was Daniel and Tricia's turn they did baked spaghetti before we headed out for a sunset dolphin cruise. We saw quite a lot of dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. Tuesday night Travis's parents did a smorgasbord of grilled chicken, steak, burgers and hot dogs with all the fixings. After dinner we headed over to Jekyll Island to Driftwood Beach for our family photos. Wednesday night was our turn. We bought fish and had a fish fry complete with hush puppies and fries. Thursday and Friday night we headed out to eat. Thursday we ate at a hole in the wall barbecue place called Southern Soul...great barbecue! Friday night we ate at Barbara Jean's and had awesome southern food! After dinner Friday night we let the kids do some souvenir shopping, Emmy had a hair wrap done and finished the night off with ice cream. We had a great time and ate well all week! Thank you Robin and Bobby for making it all possible. :) There a lot of pics if you are still with me I hope you enjoy them!
