Last Friday I headed to Churchill Downs for the 137
th running of the Kentucky Oaks with the girls. Complete with dresses and hats/fascinators! This was the first time I had been to the Oaks and the first time not being in the infield. We started off our day by having brunch at The Cafe downtown...it was delicious. Thanks to Kirsten for getting our awesome tickets. We were the second row of seats from the fence. We were right in the action...good thing it was a beautiful day because we had no cover. We pooled our money and agreed on which horse to bet. When we won we took the winnings and placed it on the next race's bet. We won a few and lost a few but we had a great day.
